In the 1990s, Nashville’s Music Row was intensely competitive. Every room was chasing the next great session, owners were focused on the bottom line, and engineers worked long hours in crowded halls trying to make the most of every booked minute.
It was in this environment that Nashville recording and mixing engineer Tony Green got his start, cutting his teeth at two staples of Nashville sound, Loud Recording and Sound Stage Studios.
Over the next decade, Tony developed under the mentorship of some of Music Row’s most respected producers and engineers, including Richard Landis, James Stroud, and Chuck Ainlay. Along the way, Tony collaborated on projects with Chris Lord‑Alge, Dave Thoener, Byron Gallimore, David Leonard, and Peter Collins.
Tony’s work has contributed to recordings by Keith Urban, Peter Frampton, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, James Taylor, Martina McBride, Blake Shelton, Michael McDonald, George Strait, and Mark Knopfler.
